For the last two years there hasn't been any development to speak of on the old Back-End CMS code base. It is essentially a dead project at this point.

However, there is now an opportunity with Drupal's code to replicate much of what we were trying to accomplish with Back-End. A multi-lingual, hierarchical CMS with tools for sections (categories), articles (pages), links, polls and wiki.

The biggest challenge is still i18n, however by producing a distribution of Drupal, we could make it easier for individuals who aren't comfortable configuring things.

Drupal has built in support for distros.. The DrupalED distro is starting off and has a group to help organize it.

This could be a neat initiative if there are folks interested in getting behind this.
